Clayton's dad was a jeweler. Many of us bypassed the big company offering class rings for Clayton selling us on class rings with the gold encrusted "B" or as I recall the optional Jet, offered by his dad at close to or a lower price. I, along with several others, definitely took up Clayton on his offer. No regret there. It was a fantastic ring. One of my greatest regrets is that I lost that ring with the gold encrusted "B". My class ring was one of my greatest treasures. And it, like my dear friend Clayton, are gone forever. But not forgotten and always missed.
